I had so much fun at Cal-wood! I am so thankful that we got to go! Mr. Moore told me that we were lucky to have gone because he said that we were one of first schools in the district to do something like this. Plus, it cost a lot of money to go. In fact,it cost so much money that we have to have a fund raiser to pay for the trip! Mr. Moore also told me that you guys went out to buy us water bottles, hats, and even gloves! Not only that but you had to collect paper work and other important things to make sure that all of us could go!But it was all worth it, we all had the time of our lives and I had the best way to end elementary school. I am thankful that I got to experience this before I go to Mexico.

One thing that I am thankful for,for going to Cal-Wood is that I got to go and that I saw my first shooting star and I never seen a shooting star it was so cool.Another thing is that when my learning group went to the pond to look around in the pond and find living things in the pond and when I was looking around I saw a chipmunk and it was so cute it was about the size of a hamster.It was so cool when my learning group went to see the Mica Mind.The Mica Mind was a hole that you can go in and if you go in the cave you would see all kinds of small or big pieces of layered see through pieces of Mica it is so cool.My learning group and I went in this tunnel and you had to squeeze in it or you wouldn't fit.I am thankful for going to Cal-Wood.It was a wonderful opportunity for me and I think for everyone else too.One more thing is that my cabin people were Ms.Vander Velde of course,Lupita,Chatel, Mirican,Gina,Dany,Crystal,and I.I was so thankful for having Ms.V in my cabin so I was so happy to be in her cabin and she is a wonderful singer because she made my cabin fall asleep cause she sounded like million angels.I was so glade to be in her cabin.This was a great trip.

The experience at Cal-Wood was the most fun experience I have ever had! Going to Cal-Wood was the mot interesting and dangerous thing we did. Right when we were leaving I was pretty excited. When we were driving up the winding, narrow road the bus driver had to turn the bus around and hit a Yield sign. They had to stop the bus and attempt to put the sign back on with an emergency kit that was on the bus. When we finally arrived at Cal-Wood I couldn't wait to see what the cabins looked like. I figured out who were going to be in the same cabin as me. After hiking a quarter of a mile uphill to our cabins with all of the stuff we had to bring to Cal-Wood. After choosing which bed we were going to sleep on we all went down to the little benches that were provided down the path outside the lodge. There, the people who work there told us what our days were going to be like at Cal-Wood. After that, we headed up to the volleyball court to have lunch and when we were done eating we were able to play. When everyone was done eating and paying we all went into the lodge and got divided up into our learning groups and were told by our group instructors what we were going to do on that day. The first thin our group did was walk out and around the lodge to the classroom where we were going to learn about maps and compasses. After learning all that we needed to know about maps and compasses we went out and got prepared to do a scavenger hunt. We got divided into groups. The people find that hole punch by looking at a map of Cal-Wood I was in a group with were Sophia and Gustavo. Each group got assigned to a number. The number represented a hole punch. You had to find that hole punch by looking at a map and a compass. The number that my group got was eight. Our hole punch was on aspen grove. Aspen grove is a group of trees that all have white bark. When the bright orange clip came in to my view I knew it was what we were looking for and I ran up to it and looked for the number eight. There I saw it. The number eight. When our time was up our group leader blew the whistle. When all the people in our group got back we had to tell them how many hole punches we got. Our group got 4 hole punches. For my experience at Cal-Wood that was my favorite part. My experience at Cal-Wood was great!

I really liked Cal-Wood. My favorite thing was the campfire. We did a skit about how yo make a star. I also really liked to go on the night hike. I thought it was neat when we got to walk in the dark by ourselves. I saw so many shooting stars. I could hear wolves howling. We did an experiment with a type of candy. This type of candy could make big sparks in your mouth. When we were heading back to the cabins I saw lights in the distance but I did not know what they were. I am so glad I got to go to Cal-Wood. My favorite game was called camoflage. The only times I lost was when I had my blue hat on. Most of the time e had to hike. I saw a lot of bones. We found a back bone that connected to a skull. We got to see a mine. The mine had a tunnel that you could walk in to and one you could crawl in to. My group got to go to the waterfall. At the waterfall we could climb in it. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I am glad I got to go to Cal-Wood.

I really liked Cal-Wood because of the night hike and the campfire.During the night hike we played a game like where we have one bat and two moths.Also we had to do a little hike where we had to walk alone on a path until we got to a turn an then we watched for shooting stars until everyone was done with the walk.At the campfire we sang songs like the skat song a moose song and a boom Chicka boom song. The skat one went like this.It starts with s and ends with a t.It comes out of you and it comes out of me.I know what you're thinking but don't call it that lets be scientific and call it skat.We also did a play from each cabin and my cabin had why do owls hoot at night? The narrator was Arturo I was a mouse and Jonathan was a fox Elsad and Cesar were owls.We also watched them put out the fire because sparcks were flying in peoples faces.It was finally over and everyone left the fire.It finally was time to go the next day because of school.But before we left we told the instructers what our favorite thing we did was.Cal-Wood was a good place for many kids to learn.

Going to cal-wood was really fun.I hope sometime we can go again because we got really close to some elk and deer.Oh.I'm also going to do that life saver thing so my mom can see.OH.(I know I can't forget this)How tired were you when got back from the five mile walk because I was really tired after that long walk.Once I got back I drank almost 4 bottles of water.When I got to the micka mine and the little water fall.I was thinking that both would be really big.It just sucks that we had to leave in three days.

This is why I am thankful for cal wood.First,this was the first time East Elementary has ever gone to the woods.Second,This was a once time opportunely to go to the woods with your friend and class mates.Also,I am thankful for my school to give a child a once in a life time opportune to go to the woods with all there class and friends.Lastly,I am thankful for my family to allow me to go on a trip for three days.Thats all that I am thankful for my trip to Cal Wood.

Staying at school was fun! On Monday, it was so funny because at lunch we were laughing so much because Ana spited milk out her mouth and got all over her hair.After school we had Math lab Jessica and I played a game with Fractions,Decimals,and Percents.When Mrs.Copher had a orange in her hand she bit it and the juice spilled on her cloths and she said a bad word. Tuesday,one thing I was pretty sad about is when we found out that we had no P.E but at least we had some fun in Art and Music in Art we got to paint in Music we helped to clean.Wednesday, was just a normal day but at the end of the day we played Around The World I won twice.I have to say it was fun to stay at school.

Doing the night hike was fun and cool.But, some kids were scared.When my group did a walk by our selfs in the night some kids stopped half way and got scared.Then the kid that was behind them come.Then the other kid would say am scared.Then the other kid would say come with me.When they came to the spot you saw two kids at ones kids.Then when we were finished we looked at the stars.Then when it was the next day we went on a hike.The hike was long but, it was grate excersize.Then the pickink outsied was fun.After the hike we had the first East campfier.Then some people had to put the canpfier out .

Cal-wood was unbelievable awesome I had a lot of fun on the night hike with Mrs Bolerjack.When I had to lay down Mrs Bolerjack lade by side me to see the beautiful stares and the shapes that were in the stares.And when we had to walk solo Mrs Bolerjack said to not to be scared even though she was scared to walk solo in the dark mark said to keep going straight so we don,t get lots after a little bit it was time to say good night.p.s thank you.

I had so much fun in Cal-Wood.When my group was at the Mica Mine cave I hit my head on the celling.That same night my head was hurting really bad that I had a small bump on my head.The next day I had to wakeup at 5:30 in the morning so my body Diana can go to the bathroom.So when we go back to our cabin I was wide awake, and just when I know it Diana was asleep and I was steel awake.The next day was the day we left Cal-Wood.I was really sad that I was leaving Cal-Wood.But the best part that I was going to see my parents again.

Thank you for taking us to Cal Wood it was fun. At cal wood me and my group went to the Mica Mine and we saw shiny things all over the floor and rocks.the teacher that I was with she said that two kids from years ago they had to put shiny things in a bucket and for reward they get a quarter. Then we ate sandwiches and then we walked down the hill to get water and walk again.Then we stoped at a tree and made holes on two of the trees and see the inside.The inside was cool then we walked again and then we went to our cabins.Then it was Bob time while it was Bob time I took a shower after shower I went to the lodge and played games while Dinner was ready we were playing then it was Dinner time.

I had a great time in Cal-Wood.My greatest time in Cal-Wood was with me and with all my group especially with you Miss.Vander Velde.I'm going to tell you my favorite time was hiking up to the Mica Mine.Walking 2 miles up there my feet were like jelly walking up to the Mica Mine.The owl game that we played and there was only one owl including the people that weren't it.The owl had to find the mice[the students]when ever the owl found someone near the person that they found had to get near them but it wasn't fun at all I got lots of splinters in my hands because I was to camouflaged on the ground behind the pile of the oak tree.On round 1 you had to count to 30 seconds,on the second round you had to count only to 20 seconds,and on the third round you had to count to 10 seconds and you had to go tag the owl.So when we were done with the game we headed to the Mice Mine.In the Mice Mine there was lots,tons of mica.So we headed down to the stairs of the Mica Mine and I sat down even I saw lots of Mica on the floor including on the stairs.So the lady told us to go in the caves of Mica there was only mica in the caves.What a nice time!

I had so much fun in Cal-Wood.When we first got there the people in Cal-Wood give us the rules. Then we went up to the volleyball places and ate our lunch,the people that were finish eating were either taking photos of Cal-Wood or playing volleyball.Like about 1:30 we got in our groups in we stared to hike while we were hiking I stop to get a drink of water and Mrs.Erika waited for me so I won't get lost.Then we keep on going up to get with the rest of all.Then we went to lake to find insects,After that we went to the homestead to talk about them ,Ashely was the person that I got to take about the insects I got in the lake.After that we head back to the log to have our free time,In our free time we could go to three places one was the volleyball the other one our fantastic cabints and the last one was the bear log.At 6:00 we had dinner.When we finish dinner we went to our cabints to get our stuff to go to the night hiking in the night hiking there was a game called eco there was a bat and three models.When ever the bat said eco the three models had to said eco back .Then there was one more game it was to get to the other side solo to Mr.Ben When everyone was finish going down we had to look at the stars and find something in the night hiking we saw a lot of shooting stars.Then we head back to the log.Then one of the people that work on Cal-Wood read a book to us called the lorax.After that we went to sleep.That was are first day in Cal-Wood .At 7:30 we all have to wake up to get ready for breakfas at 7:45 it was breakfast.When we finish breakfast we went to our groups and stared to hike we hike tell 4:30.When we came back it was our free time we could go to does 3 places.Then we went to dinner .When dinner was finish we went back to our cabints to get ready for the Camp Fire.In the Camp Fire we sing a lot of cool songs.Then Mark had to turn of the fire because he said that he doesn't want to burn the whole forest.After that we had to get ready for bed.At 7:45 We had breakfast then we went to hike for a little bit.Then we came back to ate lunch then we went to the bus and we left Cal-Wood.

I am completely thankful for the entire trip to Cal-wood.I got to know so many people that I had never really noticed.My cabin mates and I had never been friends from the start.Of course we had our arguments and disagreements, but don't all friendships include fighting? I know this sounds crazy, but I think that the girls that were in my cabin and I are becoming closer. The trip to Cal-wood brought us together.I never knew that someone I never knew before the trip could be so much like me in so many ways.I was truly amazed at how someone so different could be so similar to me.It makes me realize that I can have more than one best friend. At the trip we had so many adventures. Although all the hiking made me exhausted, I had so much fun. I think I'd have to say that the mica mine was definetly my favorite activity that we did at Cal-wood.when we came out of the mine it looked like we had just come out of a winter wonderland.The reason it was like that is because, the mica had been broken off of the roof of the mine.All the childre walking below the roof and knocking about shook up the mica and loosened it from the roof.Then the mca fell onto our heads and got entwined into the strands of the girls' long hair.The micaactually looked like snow too.It was white so it looked like we had just come out of the North Pole! Everybody laughed and thought it was really funny.It makes me realize how much fun I can have even with a boring subject like rocks and minerals.Another one of my favorite activities was the night hike.During the night hike we did a solo walk.A solo walk is where you have to walk alone to find the trail that leads to the instructor who is hiding from you off to the side of the road.I waited for Angelica U. to catch up to me because I was so scared. I thought I was going to get lost and be all alone in the frightening wilderness where no one would ever find me. I never really thought that a trip far away from home could be so fun.

Cal-wood was fun , funner then being inside most of the day on a hot day.The first example why cal-wood was fun was when we got in to our learning group's and my teacher was Ben and there was two Ben's the class named them Mr.Ben and Ben Jr. and thats what we decided and that was the first fun thing of the Cal-wood trip.The next thing I liked about cal-wood was the food they served to my the food taste like restaurant food and at night it did look like a restaurant.Another example why I liked cal-wood was that the first night we were there we had a night hike and thats when we played about Two games and learn a lot of cool things about the eye. When we went to bed that night you,Mr.Moore ,and Mr.Olson did a prank on us and thats why my cabin could not sleep good and I went to see elk and I was really tiered and my cabin went to sleep really early.
